Goodsie.com is an online store service that gives users the ability to design their own, customized online shop. The application does not require any HTML or design knowledge. The user can begin by adding products to their store. Product pages include a title, description, image, price and quantity available (with an option for unlimited availability). The user can also choose a payment portal from Paypal, Google Checkout and Amazon Payments. The user can also customize the look of their store by adding a title, description and visual elements. Goodsie provides a list of font styles and slider bars to change the size of text. Palettes are also included so the user can select from numerous color combinations for the background, text and other elements. Photo images can also be added to backgrounds to enhance the overall theme of the user’s web store. On the back end, Goodsie provides web store owners with real time stats so they can see traffic, sales, revenue and visitor activities. Sites are protected by SSL encryption and allow users to design custom pages or use their own domain name.

Goodsie empowers web store owners to create a virtual storefront to their specifications. The application is very easy to use, even for those with minimal internet experience. The user can easily put together a store that matches their industry or product in a very short amount of time. The simple features allow users to sell in a way that is convenient for them, with popular payment options and customization options for font and style. Goodsie also allows users to sell both tangible and digital items. The application integrates with Fetch for digital sellers.
Goodsie has a very user friendly interface that will appeal to many users. After logging in, the user will find their existing products to the right, with a list of tools and actions along the left hand side. The user can click through each to access the font editor and other style customization options. The new product entry form is very straightforward, with fields for title, description, price, availability and quantity. Goodsie gives web store owners all the necessities in a way that is easy to master.
A new user can create a Goodsie account by clicking the “Open Your Store” button found at the center of the homepage. The page slides to the left to reveal the registration form. The form asks for a desired store name, email address and password. After entering the information, the user can click the “Finish and Go to My Store” button to the right of the form. Doing so automatically takes the user to their newly created store dashboard. A pop up box provides a few extra instructions and can be closed when the user is ready to begin.
Goodsie welcomes new users with a free 30 day trial. Once the trial is up, the user will be required to pay for the service. Goodsie keeps its service affordable with a very simple billing system. All users pay approximately $15 per month for their web store. This includes all the current features and no transaction fees (of course the user’s chosen payment option will most likely come with its own fees, but Goodsie does not add to them).
Goodsie is an excellent tool for anyone who wants to sell a product online. It is especially appealing for users who have a limited budget and little to no experience with design. The user interface is very easy to learn and the application allows users to quickly customize their stores.
